Several opportunities for them to go Full Iowa in that last couple of minutes. The dangerous pass from Alvaro into Stirtz in the lane that turned into a turnover could have folded them. Then when Stirtz missed the shot down 1 with about 20 seconds left it felt like the streak of first weekend exits was going to continue. Like you said, they really showed some toughness that hadn’t existed in the program for years. The biggest Iowa Basketball win of my life at the time. Then just a week of elation leading up to Nebrantska game which was even more glorious.

I cannot wait for football to start because then basketball is right around the corner. Going to be fun, boyz!

I find myself randomly tuning in to a lot of these reruns on random days when they’re suggested on YouTube TV and in the past just flipping through channels. Then I will call my dad and tell him about whatever game is airing and we’ll have a call after and relive it all over again.
