What does $100 get with your wife, and pic.If anyone does wind up with an extra ticket I would def be in the market. Still evaluating (I'd prefer not to spend $1000 on a ticket) but obviously I will be going to the game.
Also, my wife is willing to book rooms for people at a Hilton/Marriott in exchange for cash a say $100 /off night discount for the going rate using her points with her Platinum status (which would get you access to the Club Lounge and probably breakfast).

I used it for the Orange Bowl in 2009 and will be using it for the Rose Bowl. They provide a good service (e.g. chartering you to and from the Huddle, taking you to the game, etc.), plus you're guaranteed a ticket in the Iowa section. Obviously, you also have to pay a premium for it.Anyone ever go on one of the Alumni Association bowl trips? I'm guessing it's pretty good seats and hotel. I'm considering it.
So you're saying that in addition to a good travel package, there will be other prominent posters on the trip? We're looking at the Alumni Association as well even though it's going to cost more. It's probably worth it for the convenience. So you're saying that in addition to a good travel package, there will be other prominent posters on the trip? Found one that's $3100 but if you have a ticket you get $500 off.My dad texted me that alumni packages are running 3500k each
yes, it's been awhile but they are very well runAnyone ever go on one of the Alumni Association bowl trips? I'm guessing it's pretty good seats and hotel. I'm considering it.
They can charge whatever they want and I hope he sells out.Miller keeps talking about supply and demand but those group tour prices were set before anything was announced, yet people are paying these rates
That's what my family is doing. Seems like a good play at this point. So you're saying that in addition to a good travel package, there will be other prominent posters on the trip? Crazy times. We had a rental car but were worried about traffic, so we ended up sleeping in our car NYE in order to make the parade New Year's Day.
If you're worried about tickets, I think you could pick up scalpers there. Wisconsin played Stanford in 2000 and Stanford surprisingly do not travel well. I'm going to guess that at least 80% of the Rose Bowl will be Iowa fans.If the estimate of 60,000 Hawkeye fans is close to correct, there's your price increase right there.
I don't see how that's gonna happen with how rediculous the prices are but Miller is sure sticking to itIf the estimate of 60,000 Hawkeye fans is close to correct, there's your price increase right there.
He's trying to justify his prices, which is fine, I guess.I don't see how that's gonna happen with how rediculous the prices are but Miller is sure sticking to itIf the estimate of 60,000 Hawkeye fans is close to correct, there's your price increase right there.
I read if you don't buy a grandstand seat for the parade it's not even worth going and you have to be in those seats by 630 am. Parade starts at eight and lasts two hours. No bathroomsCrazy times. We had a rental car but were worried about traffic, so we ended up sleeping in our car NYE in order to make the parade New Year's Day.
Which airline are you using? SW had a direct to lax but on the days I wanted one of the legs as sold out and prices got really high. It was less expensive for us to connect through Dallas on AmericanHe's trying to justify his prices, which is fine, I guess.I don't see how that's gonna happen with how rediculous the prices are but Miller is sure sticking to itIf the estimate of 60,000 Hawkeye fans is close to correct, there's your price increase right there.
I hope people are smart enough to check prices on their own, though flights will get tight pretty quick. We saved a bunch by deciding to drive and fly out of Kansas City.
I remember giving Jon shit for one of the bowl packages he put together, I believe it was 2009 Outback...I was blatantly asking him about why it was worth paying two to three times more through him than just booking on your own. He replied then that you get the Chalk Talk on the flight. I then started asking him if he was on every flight or just one flight. I had a vision of him flying back and forth lugging around a a big chalk board. He's trying to justify his prices, which is fine, I guess.I don't see how that's gonna happen with how rediculous the prices are but Miller is sure sticking to itIf the estimate of 60,000 Hawkeye fans is close to correct, there's your price increase right there.

I would believe the grandstand comment. Would be hard to see much if you didn't have them. But they have grandstands set up all over the place. We sat right next to the ABC tower. There are plenty of bathrooms in the grandstands (under) and they have vendors set up for food/drinks. With the tour package, they literally drop you off about 2 blocks from your seats, pretty easy and then they take you right to the stadium from there. Quit being a cheap fuck for once in your pathetic existence. They can charge whatever they want and I hope he sells out.Miller keeps talking about supply and demand but those group tour prices were set before anything was announced, yet people are paying these rates
I'm more laughing that any idiot would pay what he is asking when you can fairly easily book the entire trip for half that amount.
We're flying Delta. Out the 30th, back the 3rd. I would've liked to make it a little longer, but we already had a 4 day trip to Vegas planned for two weeks later, so this is fine.Which airline are you using? I left the house for a couple hours and when I returned, tickets had jumped from $235 to $750 for nosebleeds in the end zones. I'm effed anyway as it's too late to cancel the rental we have booked at the coast.I was driving back from Indy so missed out on everything before the prices exploded. My anus is not prepared.
Wife and I were going to go, but prices exceeded our budget fairly quickly. So instead going to throw one helluva party here. Start on NYE and just continue through NY Day. Really wanted to go, but other factors in life capped our budget. Oh well.
Also, heard some interesting things about Miller and HawkeyeNation over the weekend that I wasn't aware of before. Not going to share it here but it did take me by surprise.
