This team needs a signature road win like the Gatens 2011-2012 team had.

This is one instance where his crazy eyes work really well. A dude with eyes like that is not to be fucked with.

I had zero expectation that they'd actually come back after the atrocious start, then Indiana would go on a run seemingly every time it got close - the decent amount of annoying Indiana fans who made the trip didn't help. The young guys found their swag at just the right time. I was walking out of the arena like:

Some dude on the Indiana board posted this... I thought it was a good post until I got into it a bit...

@Paterfamilias

https://indiana.forums.rivals.com/threads/big-ten-standings-last-4-years-combined.148274/

This may be taking a good thing too far, but here are the combined Big Ten Standings since the day Crean signed Cody.

#1 Wisconsin 88-34 .721
#2 Maryland 36-14 .720
#3 Mich St. 80-42 .656
#4 Ohio St. 79-44 .643
#5 Michigan 74-48 .607
#6 Purdue 72-50 .59
#7 Indiana 64-58 .525
#8 Iowa 61-62 .496
#9 Illinois 49-73 .402
#10 Northwestern 48-74 .393
#11 Minnesota 44-78 .361
#12 Nebrantska 37-67 .356
#13 Penn St. 23-45 .311
#14 Rutgers 5-46 .098

24 games behind Wisconsin! 8 games behind Purdue! 3.5 games ahead of freaking Iowa!!!

If there was an NCAA Tournament based on a 7 year resume, IU would be in must win territory these next 3 games to qualify... and the media thinks we're wacko:mad:

Let's be honest, this team in the NIT would be fucking sweet. So much potential, they could make a run. The NCAA is a distant dream at this point.
I hope they treat the BTT like a no lose situation. They should end up as the #7-#10 seed and avoid the first day. No real chance of the #6 seed or higher. Likely would play someone like Illinois/Nebrantska/Penn State/Michigan and then play either Wisconsin/Purdue/Maryland if they win.

The chances at any post season is a huge longshot.
Right now the projections have this bracket: http://bball.notnothing.net/b10bracket.php

I'm hoping they can get to 7 to avoid two potential days of 11 a.m. games.

Win 2 of next 3 and one game in the BTT and I think an NIT bid is a good possibility.

Baer's put back dunk was awesome. So was Cooks stare down on Booger.

Indiana plays like a bunch of spazzes. A reflection of their coach.

It was a point of emphasis for officials this year, which is why it is getting called more. Most of the time by conference season the points of emphasis get thrown out the window. Remember a few years ago with the hand-checking. This is one that the officials seem to be sticking with.

SIAP, but the way Crean utilizes Thomas Bryant truly doesn't make any sense. That's probably because Crean is a moron.

As generally shitty as Alford's tenure was here, he did usually have them boyz ready for the BTT.

The NCAA tournament was a different story, however.

13-6 in the BTT. Two titles. Got to the weekend 4 times in 8 years.

The Criminal got bounced on Thursday by Michigan all 3 years. Average margin of defeat was nearly 16 points.

Fran is 2-6 in the BTT, and has yet to get past Friday.

I'm starting to get convinced the refs hate Fran.

Baer's put back was pretty awesome. It looked like he was about to uppercut one of our guys on the bench after.
One of my favorite plays in a long time.

This guy is an idiot as much as I'd like to see the Hawks in the NCAAs again.
Yikes. Beating a shitty Indiana team is making a case for the NCAAs now? What would it take to make the NCAAs at this point? Win out and go deep into the BTT?

This is the first Iowa team in a long time that doesn't feature one or more players that I hate (not counting Dale Jones).

I had planned on hating Ellingson and Williams and yet they both seem to be improving.

Jones doesn't play enough to hate. I hated Brady before the season, but he has proven me wrong.

Uhl is my current most hated player. It's not even close really.

Was interesting to see Indiana's BPI (pretty good) and RPI (pretty bad).

We can debate those systems (I hate the RPI) but Indiana is not good, much less pretty good.

The Kansas and UNC wins are big for them and they're 2-8 in games decided by 5 or less or OT. 6 of those close losses away from home, 4 of them in the Big Ten. That's why their BPI is much higher. KenPom has them at 44.
