Default FYI on Basabe and Marble in PTL

After two games, Basabe is avg 37 ppg and 11 rpg in Prime Time League. Marble is avg 24.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 6 apg. Gatens is averaging 25.5 ppg, 9 rpg.

Granted, it's PTL. But Basabe could surprise a lot of people in the Big Ten this year. Future definitely looks bright.

Either that or they are just competing against unathletic white guys.

Karl Marks (guy knows his hoops) has often compared him to Dikemebe Mutombo, that may be a bit premature to sell him so short. Based on these early returns we may be looking at a Bill Russell type.

out of our original four 2010 signees, i was most unsure about marble, so his PTL reviews ease my worry a little bit.

Considering his only other offer was Cleveland State, I think "reach" would be an understatement.

After Sean Sonderleiter averaged 30 and 10 one year in the PTL I quit paying attention to PTL stats.

I'd say that more than anything, this is a pretty good indicator of just how untalented the group currently playing in the PTL is--namely, Iowa's rostered players.

When he got an offer we all should have known that was the beginning of the end for Lick. Players were leaving left and right, Lick couldn't land anyone (got lucky with Cully) and tossed an offer Archies way.

According to posters on other websites, these results will clearly carry over to the Big 10 season, and anyone who says differently doesn't know shit about basketball.

While the latter may be (me not knowing shit), I am pretty confident in saying the talent level in the PTL isn't even on the same planet as what is in the big 10.

I hope the kids do well. I will be curious to see their reactions should the freshman struggle mightily during the season.

those douches say PTL will carry over every year. It doesnt and it never will.

PTL is more 1 on 1 skill than organized ball.
